How do you get marshmallow out of clothing?

This morning I woke up with something stuck to my shorts...a large melted marshmallow! Jason gave the kids each one last night after dinner and I guess someone decided to hide it for later! I tried wiping it off, but it just smears around on the fabric. All suggestions are greatly appreciated!
