This and That

This weekend was a fairly relaxing one. We spent time with the in-laws Saturday and there I gorged on two kinds of awesome chili! The kids all got to play which always makes them happy!

Sunday I had the rare treat of a visit with my college roomie! She's in a tiny town in Arkansas right now so I only get to see her once or twice a year. It is amazing! She looks exactly the same as she did when we were in college. She's even still wearing the same size clothes...a 2! Me, well you know, three kids makes a big difference! It was a short visit but a nice one! Love ya Da!

Monday morning was great because the whole family got to sleep in! Jason had the day off so we decided to spend the day relaxing, and for Jason getting some work done for his classes.

Monday afternoon out of nowhere, Joshua started vomiting and had high fever. His vomiting and fever continued throughout the night and then at about 5 am he woke up in his usual happy and funny mood. He still has a low fever occasionally but other than that he seems to be fine. So far no one else has gotten sick and I am praying it stays that way!

Other than that nothing much here. I am aiming to get each of the kids enrolled in some kind of sport over the next two weeks. It has been so cold here that we really haven't gotten out much and I know the kids are itching to go out do some fun stuff. Daniella wants to try ice skating (I think the Olympics has something to do with it)! We are lucky because the Aerodome is about 5 minutes from the house and they offer skating and hockey lessons there for kids. She may just get her wish! Riley I am thinking of enrolling in a dance class or gymnastics. I know she'll be happy with either and I think it will come down to price and schedule. Joshua will do either martial arts or gymnastics. I wanted to get him in t-ball but I missed the cutoff for signing him up. There are several places that offer martial arts classes in our area and I know he would love it, but he tends to be a bit hyper sometimes and I don't want him to hurt anyone! On the flip side (literally) in gymnastics his energy could lead to him being the one injured. I'll have to think about that one!
