Finally we have internet! My sincere apologies to everyone who has emailed or posted comments and have had zero response! I plan to play catch up later this week!
We are almost all moved in! The guys got to work all day Saturday and loaded up a giant Penske moving truck with all of our furniture and a good portion of our belongings and moved them into the new house. Wow, we have got a lot of stuff and there is still a lot that has to be moved! Most of it is small and insignificant but it is still there. We spent our first night here Saturday night and we were delighted that the kids (and pets) slept well. We were worried that they might feel uneasy being in a new space. The kids each have their own room and they were a little apprehensive about being alone in a room at night. So far so good!
Yesterday the cable guys were supposed to come out and I had to be here for them to install cable outlets in the house so I spent several hours unpacking and cleaning. There used to be a time when there was an OCD Val that used to clean and organize constantly. Watch out! She is coming back...or at least trying to! I've gone through a lot of clorox wipes, bleach cleaner, and paper towels trying to clean everything that gets unpacked. It is both tedious and wonderful at the same time!
Tomorrow I have to be here all day again to wait for the gas company to come out. One thing that we kind of forgot about in the rush of everything was to turn on the gas in the house. This means no dryer and worse than that, no hot water for showers! We've had to do either cold showers or baths at the Bolin house. Neither is fun!
I am dreaming of the day when everything is moved, all of the boxes are unpacked, everything is clean and put away, and all of the utilities are on and working! Slowly but surely we'll get there!
We are so thankful that Chad, Al, and Chris came to help us move! Thank you guys!
Jason drove the moving truck. The truck was a 26 ft'er! I took more pictures of him driving but the camera cord to the "little" camera is still packed away somewhere so those will be posted later!
The fridge fit! We measured to make sure beforehand but no matter how many times we did that, the space still looked small.
